Health Requirements: Every Yatri must submit a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued from yatra Shrine board panel doctors across the India. Health certificates ensures that yatri is physically to for the high-altitude trek.

Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) provides an online Registration for Amarnath Yatra. Here step by step process of yatra booking:
Step1 : Visit SASB official Website: Go to the official website Shri Amarnath Shrine Board(SASB) website: https://jksasb.nic.in/
Step2: Create an account using mobile number and mail id (remember one thing when you travel in Jammu Kashmir Only Post-paid Numbers will work)
Step3: Fill The Application with right details like name, address, age, medical fitness certificate which is given by panel doctors.
Step4: Upload Required documents issued by Indian government and medical certificate given by SASB Panel doctors.
Step5: Select your preferred route to travel amarnath cave choose between Baltal Route (shorter) and Pahalgam Route (Longer but very beautiful scenery will get ).
Step6: Make the yatra registration Fee though online payment mode.
Step7: After making SASM will verify the details and then give approval. once approved download the yatra permit and print the copy of yatra permit carry two sets for safer side.

How to Register Offline For Amarnath Yatra.
Everyone not aware of online registration, for those who are not interested online or not aware SASM is associated with certain banks to issue Yatra Permit. Pilgrims can visit banks i.e Punjab National Bank, Jammu and Kashmir bank, Yes Bank and fill the form then submit necessary documents, you can get the yatra permit in bank.
How to travel Amarnath Cave:
There are multiple travel options is available for pilgrims heading to amarnath yatra 2025. Below is the yatra plan as per my experience:
Jammu is the entry point for Amarnath yatra , you can reach Jammu Via.
By Train: There are many trains is available to Jammu Tawi (JAT) Railway station. JAT is the nearest Station.
By Air: Srinagar International Airport(SXR) is well connected airport to all places of India
Pilgrims need to travel from Jammu or SXR either Baltal or Pahalgam, the two base camps
Jammu to Baltal: 400 KM, Approximate will take 10 to 12 hours
Jammu to Pahalgam: 250 KM, Approximate will take 6-8 hours
Srinagar Airport(SXR) to Baltal: 130 KM, Approximate will take 4-5 hours
Srinagar Airport(SXR) to Pahalgam: 95 KM, Approximate will take 2-3 hours
Step3: Trekking to Amarnath CaveOnce reached based came you need to start trekking towards Shri Amarnath cave:
Baltal Route:14 KM Trek. 1-2 days trek, which is a steep climb, preferred shorter trip plan
Pahalgam Route: 48 km Trek.4-5 days’ trek, it is preferred who are interested to scenic experiences.
For those who are unable to trek, alternative option is there:
Helicopter Services: Helicopter services is available from Baltal or Pahalgam to Panjtarni (which is near by Cave)
Panjtarni to cave: ponies (horse ride) and palkis available from Panjtarni base camp to Cave.
After this step you will reach Holy cave or Shri Amarnath Ji Visit the cave take the blessing of Lord ICE Shiva Lingaa.
Essential Tips to Amarnath Yatra 2025:
- Early Registration: Apply as soon as registration opens from SASB.
- Fitness Preparation: Start physical training like walking and breathing exercises at least 45 days before the yatra.
- Carry Essentials: Warm Cloths is mandatory, rain gear, best water proof trekking shows, first aid kit, dry fruits, Carry Cash (online payments may not work due to network issues)
- Follow SASB Guidelines: Carry original id proofs, yatra permit, medical certificate.
- Weather Awareness: when you traveling be prepared for unpredictable weather including snowfall and rainfall.
- Travel with GOVT vehicles: Always to try to travel with govt buses because Jammu Kashmir is very risky area as we all know that.
